NATIONAL HEALTHCARE Empty NATIONAL HEALTHCARE

Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:26 am
Ladies and gentlemen,

What an honour it is to be speaking here tonight. Having cleared my name of the recent malicious allegations against my good reputation, I am ready to return to what I know best: planning a better world for everyone in it.

I’m sure you will be aware by now that I am a dual citizen of both these United States and the United Kingdom. I’ve spent a lot of time in both countries and I’ve been able to see what works and what doesn’t.

And what doesn’t work is our corrupted, commercialised, private healthcare system. A system where a simple operation to cure you can also bankrupt you. A system where you can’t get the right drugs because the big pharmaceutical conglomerates have priced them with a 3000% mark up.

No. This won’t do for our proud nation.

Despite its flaws, the UK’s National Health Service is a shining example of how an essential service can be provided for all at a reasonable cost. If you need an operation? You’ve got it. Need a regular prescription? Here’s a set annual cost no matter how many drugs you need and what brand they are. Doesn’t it make sense that in a country as advanced as the USA we should have already adopted this?

Now, I saw how Obamacare went down with some of you. I know the arguments. Where will the money come from? And it’s true. People are living longer, so it’s harder and more expensive to keep everyone healthy. But it’s possible. A small tax on income prevents almost certain bankruptcy. For those who can’t work due to illness, they are covered by the combined power of the citizens of this great country. For those that die, they can leave peacefully knowing that the debt of their demise has not been passed to their loved ones.

But what about those that don’t die?
Darby Sorrow would be against my plans, purely because he does not wish to remain healthy. He does not wish to be saved from death. The fantastic job our healthcare professionals would do would be absolutely wasted on him. He is a selfish man, concerned only by his own needs, and that is why you cannot trust him on this matter.

Death comes to us all. Even Darby one day will figure out how to die, I’m sure. For us mere mortals who have a limited time on earth, why would we not want to be taken care of without great cost? Why would we not want to secure financial freedom for our families in their darkest hours, should anything happen to us?

A vote for Darby is a vote down the drain. He will bury your healthcare like he buries his corpses. A vote for Darby is a vote for wallowing life away and neglect.

A vote for me is a vote for fair, affordable healthcare. A vote for me is a vote for living life without fear.

Vote Whitlock.
