KNOWING GRIN

Dear, Sweet Alice.

Your mind has been so poisoned by the world around you that you no longer inhabit it truly, instead living in a world of your own imagination. A world where the Queen of Hearts orders the parting of heads and bodies, and her royal guards consist of a pack of cards. The world of Wonderland that you think you live in is a living breathing example of chaos, of nonsense, and therefore it fits your needs perfectly, Alice. You use it’s peculiarity to hide.

But let me tell you Alice, nobody hides forever.

All truths must out eventually, and one day you will emerge from Wonderland, willing or otherwise, and see the real world once more. You will see the truth, and you will know that Wonderland does not exist. But until then, there are some things you need to know.

Down there, deep down through the rabbit hole in Wonderland there is a chaos and a disorder that would make many a man fall. A constant state of forced insanity is all that greets anyone who takes those first steps through the door, and that includes you.

Through all the madness there is one clear voice. The voice of a cat. He tells you things you need to know. He makes the nonsensical make sense. He confuses you and calms you all at the same time because somehow although he doesn’t really make sense in the real world, he makes sense in Wonderland.

And it’s all a part of that knowing grin.

That grin that holds the answers. The grin that keeps your attention. Alice, that knowing grin is the only thing stopping you from falling past the brink of darkness. Hold on to that grin. Hear his voice calm you once more. For the Cheshire Cat knows how to save you from the world you find yourself in.

I am that Cheshire Cat, Alice. Know that when you listen to my voice it may confuse you too, just like him. But if you trust me, you will find yourself calm before long. I can help make the chaos make sense, if you let me, Alice. Whilst Wonderland isn’t real, a land of wonder can be. I am the one who can make that happen. And maybe if the real world was full of wonder, you could take a step out of Wonderland and live with us again, where cards live in casinos instead of palaces, and the Queen only uses a sharp blade to knight people, not behead them.

Your insanity is only temporary Alice. Follow my voice. See this knowing grin. I know how to fix you Alice. I just need you to make that leap of faith.

Come and live in my world, where unbirthdays are banned, rabbits eat lettuce and the anyone and everyone can live comfortably and freely.

Don’t you want that world, Alice?
